Local Impact Grant
In collaboration with Prince George's County Council member Edward Burroughs III, Prince George's Community College (PGCC) introduced the new Local Impact Grant program during the 2023-2024 academic year.
This program aims to provide eligible students with partial or full-time scholarship awards that will cover tuition and mandatory fee expenses for credit and continuing education courses, certifications, workforce development, and senior adult programming.
Prince George’s County Promise Scholarship
The Prince George’s County Promise Scholarship is designed to help students complete their education by covering costs beyond the federal, state, and private scholarships they receive. This scholarship program can apply towards tuition and fees for eligible students.
Maryland Community College Promise Scholarship
The Maryland Community College Promise Scholarship creates opportunities for students to attend one of Maryland’s public community colleges by providing tuition assistance for any student eligible for in-state tuition up to $5,000. As a “last dollar” scholarship, it covers any remaining tuition and mandatory fees after other grants and scholarships are applied.
