As a student at Prince George's Community College, you are expected to maintain academic good standing for the entirety of your attendance at the College. Failure to do so may result in an academic dismissal if you do not achieve at least a 2.0 GPA while on academic restriction.
Academically dismissed students should electronically submit an Application for Reinstatement Form for reinstatement consideration. Students dismissed for the first time will be eligible for re-admission after one semester has concluded (not including the winter intersession). After a second or subsequent dismissal, students will not be eligible for re-admission for one full calendar year.
What Happens Next
- Once an application has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the Reinstatement Committee.
- A decision about your appeal will be rendered via email within 14 days.
- If approved, the student must schedule a Reinstatement Advising Appointment via Navigate for guidance on the next steps.
Understanding the Academic Standing Policy
