Program Description
This program prepares students to take Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) examination. This certification validates a students' ability to design, configure, troubleshoot and maintain Local Area Network (LANs), Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN). All courses within the program can be used as part of the Cybersecurity A.A.S. degree, and the Information Technology A.A.S. degree.
Graduates of the Cisco CCNA Preparation Certificate will be able to:
- Apply fundamental information technology concepts in order to manage files and effectively use a variety of information technology tools.
- Design secure Local Area Networks (LAN) and/or Wide Area Networks (WAN).
- Configure and troubleshoot secure Local Area Networks and Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) using routers, switches and Wireless Access Points.
- Configure and troubleshoot secure enterprise networks using current Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and other enterprise technologies.
- Implement secure network protocols for communication on LANs, WLANs and/or WANs.
