The Network+ exam tests the ability of a networking technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support a network and understand various aspects of networking technologies, including TCP/IP and the OSI model. It also tests knowledge of network components and where they function in association with the OSI model, network cabling, network security, and network troubleshooting.

TEC-605 CompTIA Network+ Certification Preparation
5.0 CEUs
This course will cover the installation and operation of computer networks from the hardware rather than the administrative standpoint. Students will build and test working networks and associated wiring, helping them to prepare for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam. Students who complete the course are eligible for discounted vouchers for certification testing. This course also meets concurrently with credit course INT-1550. Please call the Prince George's Community College bookstore for textbook requirements.

Learning on your own time
Students taking an online class can access course content 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and have discussions with their instructors and fellow learners using Canvas. Deadlines and due dates will be set for assignments, tests, projects, and the like.
*Remote
Students who take a remote class will meet online via Zoom in your Canvas course at scheduled times with set deadlines and due dates. Students will also access learning materials, assignments, and participate in discussions via Canvas.
