A+ Preparation Certificate 

Students who complete this program should be able to repair and upgrade personal computers. They also should be prepared to take the CompTIA A+ certification examination in personal computer hardware and operating systems.

This certification validates understanding the most common hardware and software technologies in business and certifies the skills necessary to support complex IT infrastructures. A+ certified professionals have mastered the technologies in today's extensive and varied IT environments, from mobile to traditional devices and operating systems.

Prerequisite: Completing CompTIA A+ Part 1 and CompTIA A+ Part 2 is required to earn this certificate.

This course is the first of a two-part series designed to train those who want to become computer support technicians. CompTIA A+ certification is the industry standard for computer support technicians. The international, vendor-neutral certification proves installation, preventive maintenance, networking, security, and troubleshooting competence. Topics covered include hardware, operating systems, networking, and security.
