Apprenticeship Information

Our Restaurant Manager Apprenticeship will prepare you for a successful and rewarding career in restaurant management.

Our comprehensive program includes learning how to:
  • Perform at an entry-level to mid-level management position within a food preparation commercial operation.
  • Learn cooking techniques professionally, including safe food handling and preparation.
  • Implement satisfactory baking skills with attention to nutritional values in an industry-accepted manner.
  • Demonstrate appropriate skills in cost control, service, human resources, and financial management.
  • Maintain industry and legal standards in reference to sanitization and safety.
  • Schedule use of facilities or catering services for events, such as banquets or receptions, and negotiate arrangement details with clients.
  • Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service.
  • Identify, understand, evaluate, and apply ethical reasoning.
Earn a Certificate

Graduates of this program will earn a Department of Labor Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship.

Admission Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older by the program's start date, or at least 16 years of age in the School to Apprenticeship (youth apprenticeship) program with parental consent.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be a dually enrolled high school senior.
  • Have a valid driver's license or access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to meet physical job requirements.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Complete an initial program screening and employment interview.
