Ennis Nicole Allen is an associate professor and the department chair of the Humanities Department at Prince George's Community College. Since her youth, Allen has been passionate about the arts, embarking on an early educational career and tenure at the art meccas of Suitland High School's Visual and Performing Arts Program and the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. She received a Bachelor of Arts in public relations from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a Master of Arts degree in organizational communication from Howard University.

Allen joined PGCC in 2004. In her current role as department chair, she manages the College's Art and Design, Communication and Public Relations, Dance, Theater, Foreign Languages, Music, Philosophy, Television, Radio, and Film areas. Her goal is to ensure that the Humanities Department's courses and programs are enhanced and expanded in all areas. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Antoinette Doherty is a professor of humanities at Prince George’s Community College. She has taught various communication and theater classes at PGCC since 2003. Ms. Doherty has also taught at Montclair State University in New Jersey and Wayne State University in Michigan. She has coordinated the Youth Shakespeare Program at the College of William and Mary in Virginia. Professor Doherty has a B.F.A. in acting with a minor in communication and an M.F.A. in acting. She is a member of Actors’ Equity, the union of professional actors in the United States.

Larry D. Miller is an assistant professor of communication and public relations at Prince George’s Community College. He holds an A.A. in general studies from Montgomery College, a B.A. in sociology from the University of Pittsburgh, and an M.A. in journalism and mass communication from Point Park University. Mr. Miller began teaching introductory speech and news writing courses at the College in 2016. He has also been a WUSA 9 news anchor since 2015, earning two Emmy Awards, an Edward R. Murrow award, and Associated Press awards for his investigative journalism work.

In 2022, he was invited to the White House after the Biden Administration unveiled policy changes in response to his work on alleged home appraisal bias in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Laura Miller is an assistant professor of communication at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC). She holds an M.A. in human communication studies and a B.A. in public relations from California State University, Fullerton. She began her teaching career in 2007 after working in marketing and public relations for the tech industry. Professor Miller has been part of the PGCC family for seven years and teaches Foundations of Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Interviewing, and Integrated Arts. 

Her passion for teaching is matched only by her passion for global and local community engagement. She is currently serving as the assistant director of service learning and, in this role, works to involve faculty, staff, and students in service-learning opportunities and community partnerships. As a co-facilitator for IREX’s Global Solutions Conversations program, Professor Miller has infused global perspectives into her courses by connecting her students with students in Iraq and Jordan through virtual cross-cultural dialogue sessions.
