This micro-pathway will allow students to earn credentials and gain skills to become mid-level supervisors or managers within the hospitality industry and, if desired, continue to earn a certificate in Hospitality Services Management and then an associate degree in Hospitality Services Management.

The micro-pathway is a 12-month program for learners who work part- or full-time. It will be available in a competency-based learning format.

Hospitality Leadership Description

The Hospitality Leadership micro-pathway allows an individual to pivot to a variety of occupational roles such as events management. In collaboration with senior staff, the Hospitality Leadership role is responsible for all aspects of event conceptualization, strategy, audience development, planning, and administration. They can manage internal and external events ranging from private to public, and from 10 to 300+ participants. This role collaborates with program and central Communications staff on outreach and dissemination to selective and targeted audiences.
