Workforce Development and Continuing Education
A number of certification programs are offered at UTC, such as the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and the 90-Hour Early Childhood Pre-School Certificate. View the schedule of continuing education classes for more information.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
Prince George's Community College welcomes undocumented students and has determined that DACA and TPS students are eligible for in-county tuition rates provided that the student satisfies the College's residency criteria. This action is separate from the Maryland Dream Act.
The College provides extra support for students who need help navigating the Maryland Dream Act and DACA requirements.
If you believe the residency and eligibility rate information may affect your tuition rate at PGCC, please bring proof of in-country residency (examples of acceptable documents can be found here) and a copy of your federal Employment Authorization Documentation (EAD) Card to the Office of Records and Registration on any of our campuses.
Your card must contain the appropriate reference code for DACA, which is (c) (33), or TPS, which is (a) (12). A Social Security card marked "employment authorized" is not sufficient documentation of your status. An Enrollment Services Specialist will make a copy of your card and determine if you are eligible for a different tuition rate.
