Prince George's Community College (PGCC) welcomes the opportunity to assist active duty personnel, veterans and their families in reaching their academic, career goals, and personal advancement goals. The College has been designated by the American Association of Community Colleges as a Service Member's Opportunity College (SOC). Many active duty, veterans, and reservists consider PGCC a Military friendly campus. We provide a range of services to our veteran service members while continuously facilitating their academic goals.

Prince George's Community College Veteran Services will be recognized as a leader in providing quality services to veterans, active duty and reserve military members, and their family members.
The Veteran Support Program will be a model that provides educational and support services for veterans, active duty, and reserve military members and their families to help them achieve their academic goals, and transition from military life to civilian life.

Veteran Services Office
The College's Veteran Services Office, located in 122 Bladen Hall offers former military personnel and dependents of disabled or deceased veterans assistance with applying for veterans benefits, obtaining tutorial services, academic and occupational advising.
The College is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Maryland Higher Education Commission, so that eligible veterans, service persons, and certain dependents of veterans can receive VA educational benefits.
Only the Veterans Administration can determine your eligibility for Veterans benefits, however the College's Veterans Services Office can provide you with the guidance and appropriate paperwork to apply to the VA for benefits.
We are responsible for certifying your enrollment status to the VA, which allows for payment. The VA will not pay for continuing education courses, audited courses, or courses that do not count toward your program of study at Prince George's Community College.
