Prince George’s Community College Celebrates its 65th Anniversary with Community Events
LARGO, Md. (February 23, 2024) Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) celebrates its 65th anniversary with a series of community-focused events to excite and empower Prince George’s County residents. This year’s anniversary theme is “A Legacy of Commitment: Empowering People and Building Strong Communities.”
Recently, Prince George’s Community College volunteers and the 65th Anniversary Community Involvement Subcommittee helped the Gilmore Adult Day Care Center participants decorate cards to exchange with their loved ones on Valentine’s Day. Every Gilmore Adult Day Care Center participant left with a Prince George’s Community College 65th Anniversary blanket and a personalized card from the College’s students.
“We are excited to celebrate 65 years in Prince George’s County,” Gavette Richardson Duncan, Director of Government Relations and Community Outreach at PGCC, said. “This community has grown with our institution and we appreciate our senior neighbors for their contributions to our local impact.”
