Prince George’s Community College Ranks Among Top National Online Business Administration Associate Degree Programs
Higher education resource guide names best online programs for 2021
LARGO, Md. (May 4, 2021) – Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) announced today it has earned a top ranking for Best Online Business Administration Associate Degree Programs by Intelligent.com, a higher education resource guide that helps students make informed academic decisions. The resource guide is based on an assessment of 1,280 accredited colleges and universities. The College’s Business Administration program is also designated as “Best in the Southeast.”
Intelligent.com analyzed 224 schools from the larger assessment on a scale of 0 to 100, with 67 making it to the final list. Each academic program is evaluated based on key areas, including curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, post-graduate employment, affordability, and flexibility. The rankings are then calculated through a unique scoring algorithm that measures student engagement, potential return on investment, and leading third-party evaluations. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a 10% increase in business jobs by 2026. The College’s Business Administration program boasts the highest enrollment among programs in the Department of Business and Entrepreneurship, averaging 450 student enrollments per semester.
An associate degree in Business Administration provides students with a foundation in business, accounting, economics, statistics, communications, and management theory. Graduates are prepared to identify broad economic concepts and governmental impacts on organizations, evaluate and synthesize information, formulate financial statements using accounting principles, and more.
