New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation at Prince George's Community College has been enhanced to create a better student experience for all new students. New Student Orientation is a mandatory online program for all new students and transfer students with 11 or less transferable credits and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. It may be completed on a computer, smartphone, or tablet. The orientation prepares you for your first semester at Prince George's Community College by introducing you to college resources, support, and opportunities. 

Things to Know About New Student Orientation

  • Orientation contains video and closed captioning. While headphones are not required, they are highly recommended for the best experience. 
  • You may complete orientation in one sitting or in smaller segments. Have your Owl Link login available to begin.
  • Once you pass New Student Orientation quizzes, your student record will automatically be updated in 24 hours to show completion of the assignment.

Before You Begin:

To access the orientation, please be sure you complete all of the below steps:

  • Step 1: Apply for Admissions to the college.
  • Step 2: Activate your student portal: Access your Owl Link Account, your temporary password is your six-digit birth date: if May 20, 2002, enter 052002. You will be prompted to create your permanent password.
  • Step 3: Access the New Student Orientation. Take the section quizzes that will check for understanding. When you pass the quizzes, your record is automatically updated within 24 hours.
