In Case Of Imminent Or Actual Flooding
Only follow these actions if safe to do so.
- Secure vital equipment, records, and hazardous materials by moving to higher, safer ground.
- Shut off all non-essential electrical equipment.
- Move all personnel to a safe area, away from the building in danger.
- Locate those persons with access and functional needs, and provide assistance if safe to do so. Otherwise, provide their location to emergency responders.
- Do not return to the building until instructed to do so by the authorities.
- Contact Facilities Planning & Management for assistance with flood clean-up.
- Notify the Department of Public Safety of the incident by dialing 301-546-0666.
